A Cigarette More Dangerous Than Coronavirus

“Every year, a medium-sized Polish city dies from smoking, most are working-age people”, said in 2018 in Warsaw, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Health, Zbigniew Krol.

There is an anti-smoking act and preventive measures but they have never given strength to the extent to the fight against the epidemic. The law in Poland is very favorable to smokers. The police in a corrupt style protects illegal tobacco trade in Poland, although it is officially a serious offense. Smoking in Poland is still treated as a privilege and all seemingly restrictive in smoking is done as a spectacle at the dictation of Brussels. The government counts profits from the sale of tobacco, but it does not fight the illegal import of tobacco from the east, which can be as much as 5% of the market.

A Cigarette More Dangerous Than Coronavirus

Polish laws protect tobacco smokers and give it full right to smoke on the street. There is no obligation here for house arrest of smoking quarantine. Nobody screams through the megaphone and in the media to keep the smoker at home. A smoker or mask and gloves is not required. There may be minors and babies in the presence of the smoker. This does not arouse public indignation, the police do not intervene.

Poland in this respect is very primitive and dangerous for the environment. I do not understand why the death of one pensioner is a great tragedy than the death of 130 people?
Maybe it’s about profits, because on the death of a pensioner the government will not earn anything and lose in the cost of medical care, while the death of 130 people is a huge amount of money left in taxes. (Brux)
