In November, Poland celebrates independence day after more than 100 years of absence from maps. At the end of the First World War, Poland was recreated as a buffer state between the two feuding countries, Germany and Russia. It was supposed to prevent a war (but as we know from history, it did not happen). Poles, on the other hand, could have their own country again. Many Poles claim that it is the most important national holiday for them. It is a day off from work and Poles celebrate it by displaying white and red flags and laying wreaths on the graves of people who fought for freedom. And I wanted to stay on this freedom, because the new Polish state did not offer everyone this dream freedom. The newly established Polish state is another system of oppression, such a farm for cattle of a specific variety called the nation, with the difference that the Poles themselves oppress the Poles. For the average person, the new country did not change anything. The same poverty and the same injustice and humiliation.
Many Poles preoccupied with the world of science coped brilliantly without their country. They lived in a world of logic, not illusion. Those who did not agree to assimilation because they wanted to have their own country took up arms. From a political perspective, dividing larger homesteads into smaller ones gives a share of the profits for the authorities. The more farms, the more governments and the more beneficiaries of easy money. And there are always many people willing to be in such an elite of parasites. Smaller pens are easier to accommodate and seal against the escape of the brood. Prisoners are isolated in cells to deprive them of their self-confidence and strength of defense, lonely people are not able to join forces in the community. Similarly with states, the effort to create states does not mean an effort to improve the lives of the people raised in them. After all, man’s biggest problem today is to have the wrong citizenship and live in the wrong pen. To improve your life, you have to escape from the farm to the one where the conditions are better. Hence the migration and sociopathic views called patriotism.
When I hear the word of a patriot, I already know that it is about terrorism that provokes conflicts and not a program of improving people’s living conditions. Patriotism is an effective tool of manipulation aimed at separatism and helping to maintain the captivity of the individual. Patriotism is a chain of bondage. Patriotism is the kind of cheering for which you have to pay. A form of harmful and primitive entertainment.
Some say that if it were not for the patriotic attitude of Poles, the country would be an easy prey for the invaders, traditionally Russia or Germany. I argue that if Poles were more intelligent and involved in positive social changes, the takeover of Poland by Russia would change the Russian nation and Russia would cease to be totalitarian Russia, because the higher culture absorbs the lower one, like a virus. But in Poland, the government is introducing a program of destroying intellectual identity precisely so as not to weaken national tendencies (ignorance is easier to manipulate). The miserable Polish political theater must have its naive local viewers, not the world’s reformers, who are harmful to the interests of the authorities.
The legal system should be changed by unification all over the world, and not only in better farms, therefore, instead of mindless holidays of independence, there should be an international holiday of freedom from political and legal violence (fight against harmful regulations). Such a holiday celebrated by postulates around the world would change social awareness and by its celebration it would indicate in which farm there are totalitarian tendencies and there are places where such a holiday is not celebrated as in Poland. Let us remember that only wise people build a common future and are above all national divisions. (Brux)
