Polish Month Names

I like it very much how the months are called in Polish. The names of most of the months correspond to the climatic conditions that occur in each of the months in Poland and the activity usually performed in these months. And so in January (Styczen) branches were collected on poles. Shrubs and trees are in a vegetative state without leaves, and it was easier to find and cut off suitable specimens. These poles were used in summer on crops. February (Luty) was described as frosty. This month in Poland usually has the lowest temperatures of the year. Marzecz (Marzec) has a unified name from the Roman god Mars, it is influenced by Latin. The next month is April (Kwiecien), the word comes from flowers, this month in Poland, numerous flowers begin to grow and bloom. The month of May (Maj), like March, is borrowed from the Latin word for elders, and June (Czerwiec) from the red color that is, a dye obtained this month from plant roots. In July (Lipiec), trees called linden trees bloom in Poland. August (Sierpien) comes from the name of the sickle, which is a tool formerly used to cut grain. In September (Wrzesien), beautiful heathers bloom in Poland. The name of the month of October (Pazdziernik) is not entirely clear and is related to the production of flax. November (Listopad) is the month when colorful leaves fall abundantly from the trees in Poland. December (Grudzien) is a word that means hard, frozen ground. (Brux)
