Polish Names of The Days of The Week

The Polish names of the days of the week are amazing. They precisely define the order of the day. Monday (Poniedzialek) is the day after Sunday. Tuesday (Wtorek) is the next day, the next. Wednesday (Sroda) which is the middle of the week. Thursday (Czwartek) or four, day four, Friday (Piatek) is a word for five, which is the fifth day of the week. Saturday (Saobota), as in all Bibles, means Sabbath, and Sunday (Niedziela) comes from “no action”, that is a day off from work.

Very simple and clear nomenclature is worth reforming the Glogal English language and borrowing this form of determining the days of the week. (Brux)
