I was surprised that there is no pigeon in this city. They replace them for this terns and gulls. And like pigeons, terns are almost everywhere. Ustka is a small city lying on the Baltic Sea known since 1337. During the summer, crowds of tourists are drawn to the Ustka. I also came here to see what the magnet of this place is?

At the top of the summer season, I lived in a holiday resort consisting of a serial cottages built from wood. The place reminded the transition camp for the refugees. The place reminded the transit-camp for the refugees. I observed that Poles resting there do not say “Good morning”, so they do not welcome each other when they see each other. Although everyone lived in one holiday resort, behind the same gate pretended that they did not know? Maybe because they are on vacation and personal culture is just resting, and maybe for Poles short acquaintances do not matter?

Walking through the streets of Ustka, almost every house offers free rooms. But it is not cheap here. To the officially given prices, you should add hidden costs that we will find out only after renting the accommodation. Creativity of a tourist business over the polish sea resembles a typical duty of what Poles are famous for. I am very surprised by a climatic fee of 15 PLN a day, because it is supposed to be here in the air of iodine but no one knows how much of this iodine is? However, there are no deductions for smoking on the terraces of holiday resorts and if you hit the smoking neighbor, you have an iodine refined smoke from cigarettes and these are not cheap things.

The town of Ustka is not very large, but in the summer street traffic resembles a large, crowded city center. Many of the houses are revitalized and stylized for this region, in style plaid houses. It looks very nice especially in a composition with red flowers in the windows. In Ustka there are several exhibitions and regional museums, but they will not fly crowds but to supermarkets, because they offer food on network prices, which causes you are the cheapest shops in the city.

Of course, everyone to Ustka come to the beach. The beach in Ustka is wide thanks to their reconstruction system. What the sea will take back in the erosion and rinsing process, floating on the coast of green-yellow drilling up and will move to shore thanks to the adjustable pipe installation. The installation disassembles and mounts four employees. I observed one day that employees worked from dawn to evening. When some are looking for happiness in the sludge, others at that time bask in the sun burning fat. I have never seen so many obese people in one place.

In the middle of the beach in Ustka there is a channel leading to the port, which from midnight divides the city into two western and eastern part. From one part of the city on the second one passes through the moving footbridge (bridge) about the remnants of almost 60 meters and 4 meters wide. The footbridge is one of Ustka’s attractions, it is tilting and moves to the side for 20 minutes to connect separated by the city parts port channel. The footbridge weighs over 80 tons and opens in 4 minutes.

In the port of Ustka Registered there is 49 fishing boats, on a business day when I visited the port of all cutters permanently moored to the shore. Fishermen complained that they were not allowed to fish. The European Union imposed a ban on catching cod and salmon for a period of 5 years (have been three years old). Interestingly, cod and salmon can be found in the menu of each restaurant in Ustka. Fishermen complained that the purchase price of other fish is low and fishing after deduction of the cruise costs turns out to be unprofitable. The European Union compensates for fishermen losses incurred to stop them in the port where mooring costs a day from 30 to 100 PLN. Fishermen willingly use a stable and convenient subsidy therefore that they prefer to sit at home.

The symbol of Ustka is mermaid, it occurs in the coat of arms of the city. The mermaid also has a monument placed on the right edge of the channel leading from the port. Before the mermaid, there was earlier a navigation buzzer and a monument to Saint but tourists and all gentlemen prefer a siren because he is more pleasant to touch and does not protest. If you did not find someone in love on the beach, you have to hug a siren and come back here for a year, and in then you may have happiness. (Brux)
