Exactly one hundred years ago, July 29, 1921, under Opole, the highest temperature of 40.2o degrees Celsius was recorded. A place of record heat was The Proszkow then still the German village today covered by Poland. In Poland, 40o degrees were recorded under Kalisz in the Zbiersk village. There was a drought and always accompanying lack of food and the increase in prices, which of course did not fall along with the arrival of rain. It was lacking water for washing and drinking. In Krakow, the heat led to a cold store’s urban failure, and consequently corruption of meat and cold cuts. The level of the largest Wisła River in Poland in some fragments decreased to allow the free passage across the other side. High temperatures favored the self-ignition of forests, the Polish Niepolomicka Wilderness burned. How did such a high temperature occurred in Poland, which was 16.5o lower than the highest temperature on earth (56.7o degrees C)?
At the end of July 1921 on Europe and Asia a unique atmospheric pressure system created atmospheric depressions was over Iraq, and anticyclone over Russia. This caused that the middle part of the European continent flowed from Kazakhstan and Iran. In Poland, in the summer, the temperature increases above 30o degrees often occur. At that time, the groves are announced due to the greenhole effect caused by the increase in temperature on Earth.

Nearly 20 years later, in winter on January 11, 1940 in Siedlce city, the lowest Temerature was recorded in the history of Poland -41o C degrees (48o C degrees more than the lowest temperature on Earth). In Poland, the war and Germans took numerous enforcement on the civilian population, but they did not see such a winter yet. (Three years later they lost the war through the winter). The reason for such cooling was Scandinavian. It arises several times overnight over North Scandinavia. Typical for anticyclone circulation of air masses, compatible with clockwise traffic, drives in winter also over Poland very cold arctic air.
Let us remember that in those time the temperature measurement was not as precise as the currently and adopted records may be mistaken but only a few degrees. Average temperature in Poland. Features of 7o C degrees. In July, in the middle of the summer, the average temperature in Poland is 18o C degrees and in January in the middle of winter – 3.3o C degrees. In Poland, there is one of the best climates on Earth. In winter, it can be cold but it takes a short time about 30 days. Similarly, there is a heat but also for about 30 days. Is it ideal for the natural environment and human body and this Poles can be envied, but are they able to respect these wonderful conditions? (Brux)
