Andrzej I met when he wanted to give away the miniature he made “Battle of Carthage”. Andrzej’s modeling miniature shows the scene of the battle run by the Roman Empire, there is no historical reference, but it allows the imagination to look how it could look from the perspective of the modern “drone”. The miniature contains about 170 one centimeter figurines and two elephants, which Andrzej meticulously painted in accordance with the historical knowledge of the armament of the legions.
The most interesting, however, is the reason for the creation of this modeling work, because if Andrzej did not break his leg, the model would never be made. The extensive recovery time can be spent in different ways, Andrzej chose what has been passionate about childhood, i.e. modeling and history. He made a miniature for a year. Because he could not move independently, in shopping figurines, he was brushes and paint to be helped by his tolerant wife. Andrzej thought about everything that the model miniature must have dimensions that would allow you to take it through the door. And although it is one not large because it is 120 x 79 cm, it is mobile.
As it turned out, this is not the first modeling model of Andrzej, he had previously made the scene of the Battle of the Napoleonic campaign and the invasion in Normandy. Both miniatures today are decorated with thematic exhibitions made available to the public for sightseeing. Now it was the turn to a model of ancient times. Where will this interesting work, which cost a year of work and over 1200 PLN for figurines, brushes and paints? Will there be someone in Poland who will appreciate this effort and develop this historical illustration? I decided to help Andrzej and notify who needed and if the effect of this is a specatular I will try to write about it. (Brux)
Annex:
Unfortunately, no one was interested in the Andrzej’s miniature, no museums, cultural centers or model store. I am most surprised by the indifference of modeling stores. It is their marketing that should present the exhibitions of miniaturs under their own brand in large shopping centers. But I have no influence on the marketing policy of Polish trade. I suspect that the main reason for the lack of interest in the miniature is ordinary laziness in creative thinking. I observed that in Poland, sitting on the side is valuded higher than the activity that is associated with organization effort. (Brux)
