Currently, the Polish government from public money is making a campaign that convinces Poles that the nation does not want to give up Polish money PLN and switch to EUR. However, when I ask Poles what they think about it, most people think that the exchange of money in Poland for EUR would be more convenient for them and above all, this would be another evidence of European freedom and integral (no one would like to be a worse European). So what does the government want to gain by cheating Poles?
The expansion of the EUR zone in Europe strengthens this currency (EUR) in the world. In the interest of European business, a strong EUR currency is very favorable in international trade – that is, the most important for the economy of every country like the purchase of what is missing Europe, i.e. raw materials in third world countries such as South America, Arfyka and Russia. Certainly “Brussels” wants Poland to join the EUR currency zone, but it can’t force it. Decisions must be made by officials in Poland, and they are probably waiting for private benefits from this transformation (silent blackmail). Apparently, banks in Poland pay more to officials for isolating Poland, because they have a large profit from currency conversion. Currency speculation in Poland is more important than economic development and expected improvements in international payments. Such a direction of politics has chosen the Polish government and tries to do everything so that it does not change, reaching for public propaganda tools (just like it was with a viral epidemic in 2018) seemingly placing unfavorable decisions on the side of society. This happens when a group of people focused on power treats the state as their inclination, not counting with economic skutaks and this feels quite clear in Poland (high costs of legal activities).
Poles are frightened by the increase in prices, if you insist on EUR, it will be a punishment for them. Meanwhile, the price is responsible for the tax policy, which is very unfavorable in Poland, and the last inflation was milder in countries that have money in EUR than price increases in countries with their own currency, which additionally weakened significantly towards EUR.
The second argument is the discount on the loss of national identity along with the launch of the Polish currency PLN. I admit that Polish money is the prettiest I have encountered. Well thought out graphically tell the story of this country, but their real value in the world is very low (Euro money is very ugly). Polish money maybe have value collecting, but on a distant market from Poland nothing doing buy for PLN. I also think that nationality in the era of globalization is archaism. This is a good excuse to manipulate society to fights, quarrels, wars and hatred for other nations or uncomfortable views for the government. The government must have its fans to stay in power. The peace weakens the local authority.
If you did an experiment that would give Poles the freedom to operate at the same time with two currencies, i.e. PLN and EUR, I am convinced that every salary would like to get his salary in EUR. And that would close the discussion. The Pole also quickly recognized how little he earns to his western neighbors.
There is also a third argument that is to speak for maintaining a traditional national currency. This is the manipulation of loans by Polish banks to cool or stimulate the economy and strengthen or weaken their own currency. But in practice we know that this game does not always result in.
One thing is certain, with every paranoid crisis Poles abandon patriotic pride instilled in government propaganda and buy foreign currencies mainly USD or EUR for the security of capital loss? But then it turns out that the exchange rate is very unfavorable, so why does Poles do not want to facilitate it and free themselves about these problems? (Brux/Bruxnews)
